Paramount+ Matchday Content

Joining the Sports Design AUS team this season has been an exciting venture as we collaborate with Paramount+ to deliver dynamic content for Australian soccer. Our focus spans across A-League content, as well as showcasing the Socceroos and Matildas games. Much like my previous work with the NBL, the core of this role is about getting the right content to fans promptly. Working closely with Paramount's internal team, we strive to solve user problems and enhance the overall viewing experience

Given the sometimes-tense relationship between Paramount+ and A-League fans, it’s crucial that we offer top-notch service while staying true to the spirit of Australian football.

Football feels like second nature to me, making it easier to find my rhythm in this role. It's all about identifying the key moments to share, effectively communicating with supporters, and understanding the players and the broader social context of each game. To streamline this process, I maintain a reference sheet filled with caption ideas and other essential points, ensuring that I'm always prepared to deliver content that resonates with fans and fuels their passion.

Results

While I don’t have access to specific engagement stats, the impact of our efforts is evident in the renewed excitement surrounding the A-League. For the first time in a while, there’s a palpable buzz among fans. The relationship between fans and Paramount+ has significantly improved, with a noticeable decrease in complaints compared to the start of the season. Our work has played a key role in fostering this positive shift, proving the power of authentic, timely content in bridging gaps and strengthening connections in the sports community.
